In The Beginning

Small wall hanging measures 7” x 19” and is a mustard lovers dream! Staggered asymmetrical fringe features imported Turkish cotton string, gold-accented handspun art yarn made of Leicester locks, and Scoutwoven velvet; body of the weaving is comprised of more locks and silkworm cocoons naturally dyed with turmeric by yours truly, cotton string and silk thrums - a unique addition that I don’t typically incorporate.  A funky piece for sure and one that kick-started my highly textured weaving style!
